A moisture-sensitive component left on the bench for a single shift is not "still usable" — it is absorbing the vapor that will popcorn its package during reflow. IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 is direct about this: once an MSD package is opened, it must be resealed inside the floor-life window or held below 5% RH.
