From one board to the next, SMT fixtures, pallets, and trays carry flux, grease, and dust. When that residue isn't removed, it transfers onto the next PCB — and hand-scrubbing with iron brushes scratches expensive tooling surfaces.

The hidden cost of dirty tooling

Fixtures look inert, but they move contamination around your line:

• Residue transfers board to board. Flux and grease on a pallet land on the next PCB before soldering.
• Hand scrubbing damages tooling. Iron brushes scratch composite-stone, steel, and aluminum surfaces — and shorten fixture life.
• Changeovers stall. A dirty fixture discovered at line start delays the run while someone scrubs it.
• No cleaning discipline. Without a batch process, cleaning happens "when someone has time," which means rarely.

The Fixture Cleanliness Check

Run this before buying a cleaner — it costs nothing but clarifies the spec:

1. What do you clean? Fixtures, pallets, trays, reflow oven coolers, filters, wave-soldering parts — list them.
2. What is the contamination? Flux, grease, dust, or cured residues decide spray pressure and chemistry.
3. How often? Fixtures per day and cleaning interval set batch size and cycle time.
4. What is the tooling material? Composite stone, steel, or aluminum — cleaning compatibility is confirmed during consultation.

The Machine: load, start, done

The SME-5200 is a batch fixture and pallet cleaner for EMS and electronics factories:

1. Load the basket — fixtures, pallets, or trays go into the round basket; press start.
2. 720° spray clean — high-pressure nozzles spray liquid from all directions, reaching every surface.
3. Filter and recycle — 20 µm filters keep the liquid clean, and the liquid is recycled to save detergent and water.
4. Hot-air dry — the batch leaves clean, dry, and ready to return to the line.

The SME-5300 is the dedicated fixture-cleaning configuration from the 2022 series with hot-air drying. For heavy contamination, rotary-spray machines with optional ultrasonic assist are available (reference footprint 1880 × 1400 × 1500 mm), and the S-6200 / SME24 nozzle cleaners keep placement nozzles residue-free.
