Compare automatic lead cutting with hand trimming after wave soldering: cut quality, repeatability, labour, changeover and payback on a THT PCBA line.

A solder tin chip feeder turns standard no-flux tin wire into precisely formed solder chips right at the pick-and-place machine, so the mounter nozzle can add solder volume to pads a stencil cannot fill. The SSPC101 pres

An SMT label feeder moves labels and roll materials onto the pick-and-place machine instead of a manual bench. The SLF100X strips the liner, presents one piece at the pick position, and holds a published 1 second per feed with +/-0.2 mm accuracy on both axes - so QR labels, protective film, foam, double-sided tape, conductive adhesive, copper foil and steel stiffeners are placed by the machine that already places every other component. That removes a hidden labour bottleneck, stabilises label position and film placement, and puts the material into the same MES traceability record as the board. It mounts in one bank position, uses a documented IO handshake on Fuji, Juki, Panasonic, Yamaha, Samsung and Siemens mounters, and carries a published feeding rate of <=0.5% backed by a 500-consecutive-feed test.

The SAF1001 is a horizontal axial tape feeder that feeds taped resistors, triodes and jumper wires to an axial insertion head at 0.8 seconds per feed and ±0.3 mm accuracy, for 3 x 3 mm to 6 x 20 mm parts on 35 / 64 / 92

The STF1003 is a stacked tube feeder that takes stick-packaged THT and odd-form parts -- relays, terminals, transformers, square and round capacitors from 3 x 3 x 3 mm to 25 x 25 x 25 mm -- out of their tubes one at a time and presents each part at a pick position an SMT mounter or odd-form machine can reach. The magazine holds several tubes, so changeover happens inside the machine cycle instead of at an operator's hands. Published data covers 0.8 s per component, plus or minus 0.5 mm optical-fibre positioning, DC 24 V, an 8-core aviation plug with component-in-position on pin 4, a 1000-feed acceptance run and a 48-hour ageing run. It removes the standing reload-and-present job from stick-fed part families without changing the packaging that protects the leads.
