When misprint rates climb, the printer gets blamed first and the stencil gets wiped harder. But most of the time, the apertures were already blocked before the board ever arrived.

The chip is the cheapest thing you lose in a bad rework. The board, the cycle time and the customer's confidence cost considerably more.

Placement holds tolerance, reflow holds profile — and then the panel gets snapped by hand. The cheapest station on the line is quietly the most expensive one.

When a connector will not place reliably, the temptation is to blame the mounter. The failure is almost always the interface between part, feeder and pickup.

Buyers compare printers, mounters and reflow ovens. The losses hide in the one metre of air between them — where an operator picks up a board and becomes the conveyor.
